Role Overview
Reporting into the Data Processing Manager, this Junior Finance Analyst will be responsible for the preparation and maintenance of master data relating to costing and pricing. You will be responsible for weekly margin reporting and analysis and assisting with monthly reporting highlighting margin protection and identifying costing and pricing opportunities.

In addition, you will work closely with the production team and internal stakeholders to review and post Stocktake results ensuring accurate stock reconciliations and maintenance of stock count cycles. This role will allow your attention to detail to shine and develop your analysis capability.  

Responsibilities

• Maintaining standard costs of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
• Analyse Supplier costs and cost movements and ensuring all costs are identified and recorded accurately.
• Stock reconciliations and co-ordination of stocktakes and cycle counts.
• Analysing the weekly and monthly P&L to understand the main cost drivers of the business.
• Play an active role in costing new products.
• Working with Manufacturing and production teams to determine and implement process improvements.
• Understand operational and production software to ensure that costs are recorded accurately and timely.
• Assist in the preparation of value-added management reports relevant to users’ needs
• Implementing internal system controls to provide quality assurance over the financial data
• Collaborating with other departments and fixing finance-related system issues
• Analyse and interpret trading results, providing insights to all the stakeholders.
• Identify and fix Initial Margin losses.
• Organising and assisting Warehouse & Store stocktakes.
• Other Ad-hoc Duties

Candidate Profile
You are highly energetic and proactive in your thinking, wishing to be in a critical, detail-driven role.  You are Business or Accounting qualified (CA or CPA- not essential but highly regarded) and have a strong eye for details. You have a solid intermediate ability with Excel and display a high degree of maturity.  A minimum of 1 year experience within an office or accounting environment would strongly work to your advantage as will a credit or distinction average in your university marks. You will be articulate and professional with the passion to really drive your career and be successful. This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
