The Opportunity:

This is a key role in which you will assist Holcim Australia in maximising benefits realisation. As a Buyer you will maintain an ethical, effective and efficient bidding process to deliver continued benefits against designated spend groups whilst achieving Service Level Agreements (SLA). This is an operational and transactional role, working in a fast paced, diverse and dynamic team.

Further and detailed responsibilities are found in the Position Description which is available upon request and will include:

Reviewing purchase requisitions and ensuring completeness of requirements and/or statements of work Leveraging existing preferred suppliers where available to maximise benefits and identify further supplier options as required Liaising with suppliers to undertake requests for quote (RFQ) processes Negotiating with suppliers Reviewing and performing due diligence on purchase requisitions for completeness and compliance to preferred and other set criteria Maintaining procurement policies and practices for Procurement requirements and educating requesters about these effective practices Contributing to continuous improvement in Holcim Australia's procurement practices i.e. identifying sourcing opportunities for Category Managers; identifying improvement opportunities for buying activities and identifying and escalating any process/systems opportunities

About you:

Procurement/Supply Chain, Business or Finance discipline qualifications will be highly regarded Previous experience in purchasing, procurement analytics, finance or sourcing roles ideally in related industry sectors Supplier and internal stakeholder relationship management skills. Intermediate to advanced SAP, Email, Word, Excel Strong written and verbal skills with the ability to clearly communicate openly and effectively with customers and stakeholders at all levels Excellent problem-solving & negotiation skills
