ARC are seeking a Despatch Officer responsible for processing customer product from their Production & Distribution Centre at Somerton.

This is a critical role, responsible for managing the flow of distribution, optimising service levels and customer satisfaction, while upholding safety and quality standards. 

This position will include production planning and scheduling, once trained in trend analysis to ensure accurate despatch planning, scheduling and prioritisation.

Key responsibilities include

Manage the despatch of finished goods to customers, ensuring orders are delivered on time and in full Monitor truck movements to ensure accurate and timely delivery Coordinate with transport providers to schedule deliveries and pickups Ensure trucks are loaded efficiently and in accordance with safety standards Maintain accurate inventory records, including monitoring stock levels (stocktake) Develop and maintain strong relationship with suppliers and customers to ensure we have the necessary resources to meet production and despatch targets Coordinate with production teams to ensure production targets are met

To be successful in this role you will be a proactive individual with a solid problem-solving outlook. You will also enjoy working in a team, be highly organised and have strong attention to detail.

The successful candidate will also have:

• Prior experience in Manufacturing, Production or Transport experience (preferred but not essential)
• A solutions focused and decisive mindset
• Good geographical knowledge of Melbourne/Victoria
• The ability to build relationships across all stakeholder levels.
• A Safety First mindset as a core value
• A passionate and outcome oriented attitude towards your work
• Strong verbal and written communication skills 
• Confident using computers and associated software including Microsoft Office applications
