The opportunity:
We are looking for a part-time Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team at Slade Pharmacy, Maitland Private Hospital.
This is an exciting opportunity to further enhance your career in an ever-evolving multidisciplinary team environment and work with patients. We are a forward-thinking team, seizing opportunities for change, growth and improvement in patient outcomes. The hours: This is a permanent part-time position, working 3 days per week. The successful applicant will be available to work 8:00am to 4:00pm Wednesday, 8:00am to 5:00pm Friday, and one other weekday (we are flexible as to which day).
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, dispense and supply medications for hospital inpatients and outpatients Assist in processing and maintaining imprest levels, and managing hospital ward stock Reconcile and manage prescriptions and patient medication discharge profiles Provide support to patients, carers and hospital staff Process PBS claims and assist in producing medication profiles to hospital patients on discharge Confidently complete administrative and record keeping duties Assist with patient account enquiries

About You:
You will have high attention to detail and effective communication skills. You will be a dependable team player and can provide quality customer service to patients, carers, and hospital staff.
Previous experience in hospital is not mandatory, training provided.
