Fuse Recruitment are currently recruiting for experienced Welders with Fabrication experience for our client’s Greenacre Manufacturing site paying $45 p/hr You must have current relevant tertiary qualifications to be successful in obtaining these roles.
 
For You:
This role is purely factory based in the clients Greenacre Manufacturing site. Temp to Perm after 6 months:
 

  • Day shift
  • 7am – 3:06pm
  • $45 p/hr + Super
  • Manufacutinrg based production line work
  • Temp to Perm after 6 months
  • Free onsite parking

 
Duties:

  • Mig Welding
  • Plan and drawing Reading
  • Inspection of final product
  • Manual handling duties
  • Measuring and marking work pieces using straightedges, rules, and calipers.
  • Cutting and smoothing metal components using portable grinders.
  • Reading and interpreting production drawings in order to lay out a welding project.
  • Collaborating with project managers and metal tradesperson to ensure smooth work operations.
  • Maintain welding safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a risk-free work environment.
  • Working across a production line in the Greenacre Manufacturing facility
  • Welding mounting products for the Audio Visual industry
  • Organise and clean welding equipment on a regular basis.
  • Preparing materials for welding by cleaning metal surface using scrapers and grinders to remove rough spots. Bore holes through metal workpieces using a drill press.
  • Use measuring instruments such as calipers to inspect angles, grooves or gap allowances.

The Candidates:
To be successful in obtaining this role you will have:
 

  • Current valid White card
  • 2 years Mig Welding experience
  • Experience working with Carbon steel
  • Trade Certified
  • An excellent ability to read plans, technical drawings and interpret shop drawings
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent WHS knowledge
  • An ability to commit to the role in an ongoing capacity
  • Must be able to work autonomously
  • You must love being on the tools
  • Forklift license would be advantageous
  • Spray Painting background would be advantageous
