The Role & Project

MACA are seeking an Operational Technology Technician to join the team on an 8/6 roster, supporting mine operations with the installation and maintenance of all digital and communications technology on fixed and mobile plant.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Trade or technical qualification with an electrical or mechanical background desired. Relevant experience will also be accepted in lieu of qualifications.
  • Have previous experience with the management, installation and maintenance of mining operational technology systems (FMS, HPGPS, PMS etc)
  • Mining industry communications experience desired. (pLTE, Wi-Fi Mesh, UHF radio etc)
  • Have previous experience working with mobile plant and heavy mining equipment.
  • Ability to demonstrate up to date knowledge and theory across current industry technology trends.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills.
  • Excellent organisation and planning skills.
