We know that awesome people make us a great company, and we’re excited to be recruiting for a strategic leader of the Wilson B2B sales team to develop and execute the strategic sales plan for Racquet Sports, Sportwear, Golf and Team Sports. 

The role reports to the Head of Wilson and is a critical position within our organisation that will develop and evolve best practice sales processes, work cross functionally with commercial, brand, finance and operational stakeholders to deliver GTM excellence. Through the demonstration of exceptional leadership skills sets, the National Sales Manager will recruit, train, inspire and mentor the sales organization, ensuring a high-performance culture that aligns with Wilson and Amer Sports purpose and values

What’s involved? 

  • Strategically lead the Wilson ANZ B2B team, accountable for developing long term, medium term and short term sales plans that are aligned to the overall brands goals, resulting in the delivery of all set revenue, profitability and market share targets.   
  • Create and Evolve Best Practice sales GTM processes – including channel budgeting, forecasting, strategic category development, strategic B2B channel development & sell in and sell through measurement and analysis.
  • Direct management of the NZ Distributor; driving stronger strategical alignment, enhancing GTM process, owning business development opportunities and leading all Quarterly reviews with the distributor:
  • Recruit, coach and mentor the ANZ sales B2B organization (both internal Wilson employees plus a team of Agents)– inspiring a high-performance culture that consistently demonstrates the core values of both the Wilson Brand and AMER Sports organizations. Ensure effective delegation to team to ensure strategic focus is maintained.
  • Demonstrates an exceptional understanding of the ANZ market – consumer, competitor and strategic accounts’ strategies and demonstrates an ability to utilize this information to enhance decision making & strategic business development.
  • Collaborates with Commercial, Brand and D2C functions to ensure best in class CX through maximizing and optimizing B2B Marketing investment.
  • Cross functional engagement with all shared Operations departments, delivering key DIFOT service metrics.
  • Monthly input into key Business Processes & Drivers, P&L management, S&OP & Omni brand meetings
  • Cross functional engagement with all shared Operations departments on the Order to Cash Process; Management of Sales Tools, Finance debtors, Customer Service order books plus Inventory with Supply Chain & Warehouse Teams

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years’ experience in senior sales merchandising, category or commercial leadership roles with experience in sporting goods / sports lifestyle or fashion industries.
  • Highly developed commercial / business planning capabilities within Omni-channel business model (gross sales, net sales, gross margin and OPEX planning & forecasting).
  • Go-To-Market leadership in leading an end-to-end GTM process.
  • Ability to drive change and lead high performing teams.
  • Experience working within a global matrixed organization preferred.
  • strategic and agile mindset and strong commercial acumen.
  • Entrepreneurial thinking and a can-do-attitude.
