About this role

Position: Registered Nurse

Location: Newtown

The Role: This is a permanent part time or full time position, reporting to the chief technologist. You will be based at our Newtown clinic Monday – Friday with shifts rostered between 8:30am – 5:30pm.

Assist the Radiologist for interventional procedures, including gaining informed consent and medical history assessment, monitoring baseline observations and recovering patients post procedure. Administering medication as required for the procedure/examination. Interventional Procedures include: Biopsies, Lumbar Punctures, Drainages, and Pain Management Injections. Working collaboratively with Radiologists, Nuclear Medicine Physicians, technical and administrative staff and managers.

Requirements:

Current AHPRA Registration – please note we will consider Endorsed Enrolled Nurses Cannulation experience is ideal but not essential. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
