About the Role - Business Analyst & Project Support Officer

The Business Analyst & Project Support Officer will work with the Enterprise Development team and programs with analysing business requirements, developing functional specifications, and providing support in the delivery of diverse projects, initiatives and solutions to enable the organisation to achieve its objectives.

The hourly rate for this position will be $43.08 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

  • Focus on the implementation, optimisation and ongoing support of CatholicCare's information systems
  • Participate in joint design and requirement workshops with Service Team Managers, Subject Matter Experts and external consultants
  • Provide a range of administrative services to the Enterprise Development team including coordinating meetings and preparing papers, drafting correspondence papers and minutes to support project management delivery
  • Collaborate with program managers to identify and assist with enhancements to application systems, leverage existing and new application functionality and recommend improvements to business processes

What we're looking for:

Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science/Information Systems or other relevant discipline and/ or experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of business systems
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem solve and apply innovative and critical thinking
  • Ability to provide general advice to a workforce across various levels
  • Project management skills including planning, coordination, and organisation skills
  • Customer focused and the ability to build positive and productive working relationships with people at all levels both internally and externally
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to provide general business advice
  • Ability to negotiate and influence at all levels both internally and externally
  • Research, data analysis and report preparation skills
  • Ability to accurately compile and record agendas, minutes and other project management documents.

  • Demonstrated ability to reflect on feedback from others, use it as an opportunity to learn and take appropriate action

Desirable

  • Demonstrated understanding of the relationship with and reporting obligations to government funding bodies
  • Social services knowledge / Strong understanding of the changing environment of the Not-for-Profit sector
