Whether we’re working individually or as a group, we challenge ourselves to make progress and deliver results.

The Group Finance Manager is expected to take on areas of deeper accounting judgments, estimates and complexity. The Group Finance Manager is expected to support and work with the Technical Accounting Manager in providing accounting advice and research with a strong focus on complex and unusual accounting issues. In addition, the Group Finance Manager will support the Group External Reporting Manager at half-year and year-end, to ensure timely and accurate Statutory reporting. This includes taking on more complex accounting notes and disclosures, liaising with external auditors and subsidiary accounts reviews.

You will have:

Strong analytical skills with the ability to deliver clear accounting and reporting advice to segment finance teams and non-finance teams

Ability to work within a team and independently to resolve complicated accounting and financial reporting issues and comfortable providing accounting advice with the Technical Accounting Manager and External Reporting Managers in particular

Ability to research and provide relevant technical guidance to solve complex accounting problems

The ability to grasp complex issues and communicate verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner

Continuous improvement mindset, which not only improves the process but continually uplifts the quality of inputs and outputs

Passion to delivery high quality financial reporting, which provides high confidence and quality insights

Eagerness to learn and develop own technical knowledge and ability to work independently and as part of a team

A strong analytical mindset with a meticulous eye for detail, whilst still being able to see the longer strategic vision for the Group

Mentoring and coaching skills with the senior accountants where relevant

A good understanding of and experience in working with Hyperion Financial Reporting/MFR is beneficial, but not essential
