The Opportunity

Are you a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a knack for keeping things running smoothly? We are seeking a Facilities Assistant to join our team and play a crucial role in maintaining our state of the art office environment.

Day to day you will be responsible for: 

Subcontractor Coordination: Assist the Facilities Coordinator in coordinating subcontractors and suppliers for tenancy maintenance. Liaise with building management and handle premises-related functions.

New Starter Support: Coordinate new starter requirements, including name plates, security cards, and business cards. Assist with the issuance and programming of security cards.

Visitor Management: Manage the visitor process, including desk allocation and issuance of temporary security passes, in collaboration with practice groups.

Ergonomic Support: Assist with ergonomic equipment ordering and set up requirements for staff, including the raising of desks.

Furniture Movement: Aid in the movement of furniture related to maintenance tasks, office moves, and floor relocations.

Internal Staff Moves: Provide general assistance with internal staff moves, including offices, workstations, and floor transitions.

Housekeeping and Maintenance: Assist with housekeeping duties and maintenance of kitchens and shower facilities. Manage laundry services for designated areas.

Repairs and Maintenance: Perform repairs and minor maintenance tasks on office equipment and premises, such as replacing light bulbs

Stock Maintenance: Keep stock replenished in breakout areas, utility rooms, first aid kits, and the first aid room.

Stationery Requests: Provide general assistance with stationery requests as required.

Ad Hoc Tasks: Undertake other tasks as directed by the Office Manager/Coordinator.

To be successful in this role you will be/have:

  • Previous experience in a facilities or office support role (desirable but not required)
  • Proficient in using Microsoft office suite
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
