Spatial Visualisation Analyst

We have a 2-year Fixed Term opportunity available for a Spatial Visualisation Analyst. In this role, you will develop geographical information systems (GIS) mapping and visualisation data products and solutions at all levels of the business. You will also provide technical support and services in mapping and visualisation in a spatial environment to achieve required business outcomes.

About you:

There are a few things that we’ll look for in your CV;

Degree level qualification in Geographical Information Science, Geography, Environmental Science or related discipline Considerable experience in and knowledge of geospatial information analysis techniques and applications (e.g. ESRI ArcGIS, GE Smallworld, FME, CAD, ERDAS Imagine, FME, python). Considerable experience translating business user requires into technical requirements, including technology, information, process and people requirements. Considerable knowledge of geographic information systems and geospatial data management.
Focus area: relevant knowledge of static and web mapping, cartography and 3D visualisation within a GIS platform, and similar solution-specific knowledge. Demonstrated experience in building and enhancing stakeholder and customer relationships Good analytical and problem-solving skills

What the role will involve

Produce spatial, cartographic and 3-dimensional visualisation data products suitable for print, web and presentation purposes to enable better business decisions. Provide advice, technical support and guidance to the business associated with geospatial information requirements, mapping and visualisation, GIS tools and applications to deliver required outcomes effectively and efficiently. Undertake analysis and present results through the provision of advice, briefings, presentations or written reports to support decision making. Support the development, implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of geospatial mapping and visualisation best practice standards, templates and ways of working for the business. Develop and maintain internal and external relationships to facilitate project delivery and other business outcomes
