The Commercial team within UMA has a rare opportunity in finding its next Content & Creator Partnerships Manager. This role will play a critical role in developing and managing UMA’s approach to nurturing relationships across a range of platforms which offer short-form video (SFV), mid-length video (MLV) and live experiences. Working in collaboration with the domestic and international label teams this role will support in enabling artists and labels to deliver best in class content output and creator programs.

The Content & Creator Partnerships Manager will also be responsible for understanding the landscape of platforms and their respective native content and creator ecosystem, with the unique approach to content in each of these ecosystems. The platform focus for the role will be towards social and video platforms - from mid-form to live on YouTube and Twitch and of course short-form video content platforms.

About the role:

Partner Management

  • Build relationships with key contacts at identified platforms that are the home of SFV/MFV/Live content to unlock promotional opportunities for UMA artists
  • Gather key product & marketing updates and disseminate into strategies
  • Effectively communicate strategy back to internal and external stakeholders

Content Strategy

  • Outline best practice content strategies to help UMA’s domestic artists to have best in-class content output in SFV/MFV/Live formats
  • Research, strategise and communicate through most effective mediums to educate labels & artists

Creator Partnerships

  • Identify and build relationships with a rolodex of creator contacts that can help to create undeniable moments of interest to showcase the artist and music. Whether it is a paid campaign or collaboration opportunities between the artist, their music and creators, you will be able to negotiate for a mutually beneficial outcome for all parties involved.

Owned Media Channels & Communities

  • Aware of opportunities to help develop UMA’s suite of owned channels on these platforms working alongside a broader social & content team to build out programs which acquire and engage a desired audience.

Campaign and Trend Analysis

  • Manage trend reporting and campaign analysis, helping to identify key metrics to focus on to give artist and label teams a north star to aim towards for success.
  • Working in tandem with an in-house Insights & Trends team, you will have an ability to infer analysis to demonstrate the story within data to inform strategy

Internal & External Engagement Tools Innovation

  • Collaborating with internal teams within the UMG business who build out tools to deepen fan engagement and begin to implement campaigns with these tools for UMA’s roster of artists.
  • Being an external face to the company to begin to evaluate tools and startups that could help create efficiencies in areas such as identifying creators and benchmarking content output.

About you:

  • You will have +3 years’ experience in a similar role within the music or entertainment industry, or gaming world
  • Expert communicator and strong stakeholder management skills
  • Forward thinking and able to apply a creative mindset to strategy
  • Passionate about music and serving the ‘fan’ experience
  • Experience in dealing with artists or talent preferred (but not a deal breaker)
  • Proficiency in using MS software packages (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency in using Adobe software (basic Photoshop necessary, other optional)
  • Experience in using Social Media/Community Management/Customer Support tools
  • Experience in using Google Suite
