Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced hands on Infrastructure and Datacenter Administrator who will also take the lead in managing our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in leading network vendor technologies, with a strong focus on Cisco and Meraki, as well as familiarity with Palo Alto and Fortigate. Additionally, the candidate should have a proven track record in managing national SDWANs, Hybrid Cloud, and Multi-Vendor networks.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of comprehensive network and firewall solutions.
  • Plan design, implement and maintain national SDWANs, Private Cloud, and enterprise grade networks to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Plan design, implement and maintain national datacentre server solutions to support the group with multiple datacentre locations.
  • Ensure seamless communication infrastructure by overseeing 3CX IP Telephony systems (SBC and SDWAN solutions).
  • Integrate Enterprise Networks with Cloud Service providers to optimize connectivity and scalability.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the infrastructure and network teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and requirements.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve network infrastructure.
  • Provide leadership of all Network and Infrastructure matters.
  • Lead initiatives and projects related to Data, Voice, and Video-based Communications.
  • Monitor systems for utilisation, performance, availability, and security.
  • Offer 3rd level support for information and network system users.
  • Onboard, off-board, and manage vendors engaged by the organisation.
  • Ensure procedural and technical documentation for information and network systems is up-to-date.
  • Update and maintain the ICT change management system for new and existing change requests.
  • Provide ICT technical advice and mentoring/support to other ICT team members.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Extensive experience in leading network vendor technologies, especially Cisco and Meraki, with familiarity with Palo Alto and Fortigate.
  • Proven track record in managing national SDWANs, Private Cloud, and Multi-Vendor networks.
  • Strong experience in planning, designing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive firewall and network solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of IP Telephony systems (particularly 3CX) and ensuring seamless communication infrastructure.
  • Expertise in integrating Enterprise Networks with Cloud Service providers for optimized connectivity and scalability.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, budget, and execute medium to large-scale network projects effectively.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles for modern network architecture and maintenance.
  • Desirable – experience providing Network support to a healthcare organisation
