Our client Dream Engineering is seeking an experienced and skilled Welder to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality welding tasks on various metal components, ensuring precision and adherence to safety standards. This role involves working with a range of materials such as steel, aluminium and other alloys to fabricate, repair, and maintain equipment and structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform welding operations (MIG, TIG, Stick, etc.) on metal components and structures according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Interpret blueprints, diagrams, and welding symbols to determine the material, method, and welding process required.
  • Set up welding machines based on job requirements and material specifications.
  • Inspect welds and materials to ensure conformance with safety standards and project requirements.
  • Operate various tools and machinery such as grinders, drills, and torches for cutting and shaping metal parts.
  • Collaborate with other team members in the fabrication and assembly of metal structures.
  • Ensure the cleanliness, maintenance, and safety of welding equipment and the work area.
  • Adhere to all company policies, including health and safety regulations.
  • Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure accuracy and durability.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Certificate III including at least two (2) years of on-the-job training, or Certificate IV in Engineering Fabrication or equivalent
  • At least three (3) years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience as a welder in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Proficiency in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick).
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Certification in welding (highly desirable but not mandatory).
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Knowledge of industry safety standards and procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Good physical stamina, as the position requires standing, bending, and lifting heavy materials.

Work Environment:

  • This position may involve working in a variety of environments, including both indoor fabrication workshops and outdoor job sites.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be worn at all times during welding tasks.
