At Healthscope we realise how hard you’ve studied to get to this point. Taking the next step in your career is an important milestone. With us you can kick start your employment as an early career nurse or midwife through our comprehensive and individually tailored program. With full time or part time options available (minimum 0.8 FTE), our 12-month program is coupled with an additional Consolidation Year to further support your transition to practice and develop your clinical skills and knowledge.

Sunnybank Private Hospital is situated in south-west Brisbane. Our focus is to care for people. Our expert, attentive team of surgeons, specialist doctors, dedicated nurses and other professionals will ensure your healthcare experience is the best it can be. Set within tranquil landscaped gardens, we offer a range of medical and surgical services including oncology, day surgery, endoscopy and intensive care. We provide specialist inpatient and day rehabilitation for people recovering from an operation, injury or illness.

Registered Nurses at Healthscope perform a wide range of activities in pursuit of delivering a high quality patient experience. Every day is different and may include assessing patients, administering medications, providing wound care and educating patients and their families about health conditions. You will need to collaborate with other healthcare professionals, advocate for your patients and provide support to patients and their families. You will have the opportunity to continually develop, improve and promote best evidence-based practice.
