About the role
Reporting to the Area Supervisor, the role of Field Supervisor will be responsible for the coordination of site works and are responsible for all site construction aspects of Telstra Asset relocation works.
 
The Field Supervisor will coordinate, manage and lead subcontractors and internal workforce teams to perform a scope of work/s in relation to labour, productivity, materials, subcontractors, plant, and equipment to ensure that objectives are met, and work is planned to support the program.

What you’ll be doing

  • Continuously oversee work, analyse production methods and production performance
  • Monitoring performance and re-assessing efficiency and quality
  • Understanding contractual obligations of the company and subcontractors
  • Clearly explaining work practices, standards, and expectations to team members
  • Measuring and reporting on progress against project plans
  • Creating and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Delivering a service that meets the needs of relevant stakeholders
  • Communicating with clients and team members on a regular basis on progress and issues
  • Implementing SHEQ policy, procedures, and legislative requirements
  • Achieve safety KPIs set by client, company, and project manager
  • Monitoring the workforce’s performance to ensure project plans and milestones are met
  • Continuously seeking methods to improve and streamline operations

 About you

  • Experience in similar position within the Telco industry
  • Relevant Trade Qualification
  • Ability to read and understand construction plans
  • Understanding of the Telstra Copper and Optical Fibre Network other third-party communication company standards.
  • Relevant experience in managing subcontractors in construction site environment. 
  • Strong knowledge of client standards around civil construction
  • Willingness to travel and work through remote areas as required
  • Computer skills (excel, word, power point, etc.)
