Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Savoury Chef to join the team at Black Star Pastry's Alexandria production Kitchen.

This is a full-time role, 5 days and based on 38 hours per week.

 

We ideally require someone with availability to work Saturday & Sunday with three days during the week.

 

The role is during the day, with consistent, reliable hours offering work-life balance

Your duties and responsibilities will include:
           

  • Ensure all pastry products are prepared and baked according to the specific store requirements.
  • Maintain a detailed knowledge of the full product range.
  • Follow and adhere to recipe specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements of food hygiene regulations.
  • Ensure all policies, procedures, standards and guidelines are carefully adhered to at all times.

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or similar qualification 
Commitment to the highest standards of quality.
Excellent communication skills.
Team player with a positive attitude.
Proactive and positive approach to problem-solving.
Ability to work under pressure.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
