The opportunity
Kinetic is seeking a professional MR or HR licensed driver based in the Devonport area for a full-time GA role.
The position involves driving the public GA service, and requires availability between Monday to Saturday, with shifts varying between 6.00am and 8.30pm. The roster involves a mix of split and straight shifts, totaling 76 hours per fortnight.
You don’t need to have experience as a bus driver; however, you will need to be an experienced heavy vehicle driver with great people skills, a good driving history, and able to effectively manage passengers whilst driving.
You will be responsible for safely operating the designated service, and may also be required assist passengers on and off your vehicle.
What does the role involve?
- Learning and driving all public bus routes in the greater Devonport area.
- Operating the TransportMe ticketing system in an efficient manner.
- Providing great customer service, including adherence to On Time Running.
- Adherence to company policies and heavy vehicle regulations.
- Driving in a ‘safety first’ manner
