About the role
This is a permanent opportunity located at Stanwell Power Station, 20 mins drive from Rockhampton.
The purpose of the role is to provide electrical support and input to the operation and maintenance of Stanwell Power Station plant, assisting in the fixed term management of plant assets and undertaking plant improvements. Electrical Tradespersons are required to carry out routine and breakdown maintenance and coordinate work party activities in accordance with Stanwell’s safe system of work.
Key activities include:
- Performing work allocated within the weekly schedule
- Investigating and identifying faults in response to plant alarms / breakdowns.
- Providing feedback on opportunities to improve plant performance, maintenance work, coaching and mentoring to others.
- Developing a plan to correct plant faults and sourcing all required resources to correct faults.
About you
- Electrical Trade Certificate and a current Queensland Electrical Fitter/Mechanic Licence (or equivalent)
- High Voltage Experience (desirable)
- Hold a current manual drivers license (C Class).
- Experience in the maintenance of a modern thermal power station or heavy industry.
- Ability to learn and apply the Stanwell Power Station Safe System of Work.
