Launceston Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to join our amazing Veterinary team

Position Overview: 
We are currently seeking a skilled and dynamic Veterinary Practice Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of the practice, overseeing administrative tasks, managing staff, and ensuring the smooth and efficient running of all aspects of the business. 
 
Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee the daily operations of the veterinary practice, including scheduling, client communication, inventory management & rostering.
  • Manage and lead a team of veterinary nurses, receptionists, and Veterinarians, providing guidance, support, and mentorship as needed.
  • Develop your team through performance reviews, recognition rewards, and training/development.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain high standards of patient care and safety.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to optimize practice efficiency and workflow.
  • Handle client inquiries, complaints, and concerns in a professional and compassionate manner, striving to exceed client expectations at every opportunity.
  • Coordinate with veterinarians and other staff to ensure the seamless delivery of veterinary services.
  • Monitor financial performance and work closely with the Regional Manager to develop and manage budgets, track expenses, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and employee satisfaction.

About You: 

  • Proven experience in veterinary practice management or Senior veterinary nursing, with a strong understanding of veterinary operations and industry trends.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
  • Exceptional organisational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in veterinary practice management software and other relevant computer programs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • A passion for animal welfare and a commitment to providing the highest level of care to patients and clients.
