Our client, KNP Retail Pty Ltd T/A West Wyalong IGA, operates IGA supermarket that is 100% Australian-owned and operated. As independent supermarket and grocery store owner, all the products offered are always individually tailored to reflect each store's local community needs. There are a wide range of food products from a broad range of categories

The client is looking for a highly motivated full-time Retail Manager. The ideal candidate will be passionate about retail, customer-focused, and capable of driving store performance while ensuring operational excellence.

You will be responsible for complete management of the store with a focus on customer service, operational efficiency, cost control and growth. The job requires performance, planning and implementation of efficient store operations daily; and help drive the seamless execution and delivery of key business imperatives through our retail network.

The managerial and administrative aspect of your role will encompass determining product mix, stock levels and service standards, selling goods, maintaining records of stock, financial transactions and ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in the relevant field

3+ years' experience in a similar role

In this role your main responsibilities include:

Leadership & Team Management:

·      Lead, mentor, and develop store staff to achieve sales targets and maintain high customer service standards.

·      Foster a positive and productive work environment.

·      Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.

Sales & Profitability:

·      Develop and implement strategies to increase store sales and profitability.

·      Monitor and analyze sales performance, implementing action plans to address areas of improvement.

·      Manage stock levels and make key decisions about stock control.

Customer Service:

·      Ensure the highest level of customer service is provided at all times.

·      Address customer complaints and inquiries promptly and effectively.

·      Promote a customer-first culture within the store.

Operational Excellence:

·      Oversee store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and security.

·      Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

·      Maintain store cleanliness and organization.

Merchandising:

·      Plan and execute effective merchandising strategies to enhance store presentation.

·      Coordinate promotional activities and events.

The successful candidate will have a passion for the retail sector, be career focused and have strong management qualities. Other key skills and experience will include:

·      Proven experience as a Retail Manager or similar role in the grocery or retail industry.

·      Strong leadership and team management skills.

·      Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

·      Financial acumen and experience with sales analysis and reporting.

·      Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.

·      A drive to achieve store and individual sales budgets and KPI's

·      An eye for detail and high visual merchandising standards
