Optometrist - Buck and Todd Optometrist

Buck and Todd Optometrist is a local independently owned and operated optometry practice located in Mackay on the North Queensland Coast.

The role is open to PART or FULL TIME  with an option for partnership.

Our operating days are Monday to Friday, no weekends or late nights.

The role will be to work with the patients and our team. Inclusive of, but not limited to:

• Eye examinations,
• 30 min appointments,
• Behavioural Optometry. (45 - 60 Minute Appointments)
• Minor procedures,
• Therapeutic examinations,
• Referrals and Reporting for GP's and ophthalmologists,
• Building and maintaining referral relationships.
• Recommending the best eyewear solutions to meet all the patient’s needs.

We offer:

• Salary $165k + super depending on experience.
• The chance to choose your own specialty to complement our current suite which includes:
  Orthokeratology, Scleral Contacts Lenses, Behavioural Optometry, Vision Therapy, Syntonics and Shared care
• OCT, OPTOS, Topography, Lipiscan, Tonometry & Auto refraction pre-tests by support staff
• 4 screens in your consult room to view all the imaging data, Slit lamp camera, IPL TearSTIM

About you

You are a motivated Optometrist with the following attributes:

• Caring management of patients including an interest in managing some challenging cases
• Seeking to develop increased skills across a range of optometric sub-specialties
• Therapeutically endorsed
• Paediatrics and special needs children
• Must be able to work with a small team with the direction of the owner
