Our Events team is currently looking to hire an Events Officer to play a key role in organising and executing a diverse range of events. As the Events Officer, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing a variety of events such as conferences, seminars, workshops, networking events, and more. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, external suppliers, and event participants to ensure the smooth operation and success of each event. Additionally, you will provide support for events organised by other teams within the organisation, manage logistics, and ensure events are accessible and aligned with organisational objectives.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Work with the Events leadership team to identify key opportunities for appropriate event attendance
  • Assist in event preparation and logistics, and manage events inbox
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to align event objectives with organisational goals
  • Ensure effective stakeholder engagement
  • Budget management, tracking expenditure and ensuring financial resources are allocated appropriately
  • Risk assessment
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with events, develop contingency plans, and ensure compliance with relevant policies, regulations, and health and safety standards

Key Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in event coordination
  • Strong project coordination skills
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Budget management experience
  • Proven ability to adapt to changing circumstances. Critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and strong negotiation skills are also important qualities for success in this role
