Role Description/Criteria

St Paul’s Primary School Coburg is seeking a passionate, dynamic and committed STEM teacher (0.4 FTE) to teach Year Prep-6, who can inspire children to explore and develop their STEM abilities.

The role is a contract position covering two days per week to begin in term 3, 2024.

The successful applicant will:

• Have a passion to teach STEM (Science Technology Engineering Mathematics)
• Engage and support student learning in STEM
• Have with a strong work ethic.
• Provide opportunities for our students to be involved in a range of external activities such as relevant and appropriate STEM competitions and activities.
• Promote STEM in the school and to the wider community
• Teach the STEM program according to the Victorian Curriculum
• Assess student’s STEM skill development.
• Join a dynamic specialist teaching team.
• Plan, work and learn in a team environment.
• A willingness to work collaboratively with others.
• Strong communication skills
• Have excellent classroom management skills.
• Willingness to be involved in all aspects of the school community
• Passion for building strong partnerships and links between our families and school.

All Applicants must have:

- current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching with an up to date Criminal Record check.

- an understanding of the Child Safe Standards.

- a commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education.
