Job Description

The Designer/ Art Director is responsible for leading, creating and executing the visual design and creative direction of visually stunning designs that effectively answer the brief and communicate each brands message to its target audience.

This position requires a high level of creativity, people management, time management as well as an understanding of the latest design trends and techniques.

The Designer/ Art Director will work closely with the Group Creative Director, designers, Project Managers, and other departments to ensure that all visual elements align with each company’s brand and messaging.

Day to day you will:

Develop, maintain, and execute design concepts for a wide range of brands and mediums, including print and digital advertising, websites, social media, and branding Create design layouts, illustrations, and graphics that are visually appealing and in line with the company's overall aesthetic Generate clear ideas and concepts in tandem with the copywriter Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends and techniques to ensure designs are fresh and relevant Ensure all designs meet brand guidelines and apply typography techniques

Qualifications

You will be a solid team player, who shows commitment to the team's purpose and effectively contributes and shares skills/knowledge with others. You’ll have an ability to absorb information and act accordingly.

You will be proactive in discussing solutions and raising ideas for improvement in a positive and professional way, allowing you to build strong relationships. 

What we would like to see on your resume: 

Proven experience in a design role, preferably in media or an advertising agency Interest in AI technology and its applications in the design field Strong portfolio that demonstrates a wide range of design skills and experience High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe XD, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe, After Effects (a bonus) and Adobe InDesign  Working knowledge and experience in Figma Strong understanding of typography, colour theory, and layout principles
