Role Overview:

The primary goal of the Fundraising Executive will be working on appeals is to raise funds effectively and efficiently while building strong donor relationships. The role requires a combination of strategic planning, creative messaging, data analysis, and strong communication skills to inspire donors to support the organization’s mission and projects.

Responsibilities:

As the Fundraising Executive you will be accountable for:

• Identify and segment potential donors who are likely to be interested in supporting the appeal. This may involve analysing the organization's donor database and conducting research to identify potential new supporters.
• Craft compelling and persuasive messages that effectively communicate the urgency and importance of the cause or project. Tailor messages to resonate with different donor segments.
• Create marketing and promotional materials for the appeal, including email campaigns, direct mail, social media content, and website updates. Ensure that these materials are consistent with the campaign's messaging.
• Determine the appropriate fundraising channels to use, which may include direct mail, email marketing, social media, telemarketing, and online fundraising platforms. Integrate various channels to reach a wider audience.
• Develop strategies to engage donors and build relationships with them. This may involve personalized communication, acknowledgment of contributions, and showing appreciation for their support.
• Provide regular reports on campaign performance, including financial outcomes and key metrics. Evaluate the success of each appeal and use insights to inform future campaigns.

Candidate Profile:

As a Fundraising Executive you will be able to demonstrate skills in the following areas:

• Effective verbal and written communication is vital. Active listening is also crucial to understand donor needs and concerns.
• Build and maintain strong relationships external providers.
• The ability to navigate donor negotiation discussions.
• Be resilient, demonstrate ability to bounce back from setbacks, stay motivated, and maintain a positive attitude in the face of rejection.
• Experience in adapting to new environments and strategies. Being open to change and willing to learn is key.
• The ability to tell compelling stories about the organization's impact and the beneficiaries of donations.
• Problem-solving, finding creative solutions and addressing concerns.
• Effective time management to ensure that all responsibilities are handled efficiently.
• Basic data analysis skills to understand economic trends and donor behaviour,
• Have a genuine passion for the organization's mission and the cause.
• Be comfortable with pubic speaking.
