Are you an experienced professional with a passion for making a positive impact through strategic leadership in procurement, contracts, projects, and financial management? This exciting role offers a unique opportunity to lead the delivery of vital services across a dynamic division focused on prevention and early detection programs.

You will provide expert advice and support in procurement, contract management, budgeting, and forecasting, helping drive informed decision-making and ensuring seamless delivery of key projects and programs.

INCLUDED IN WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Coordinate the preparation of management reports, budgets, and forecasts to enhance financial visibility for the Division, helping stakeholders identify and manage budget, forecast, and procurement risks.
  • Provide strategic financial advice and recommendations related to budget planning, financial performance, and emerging financial management issues, enabling the Division to achieve its goals and manage projects within defined budgets.
  • Advise Divisional Managers on resource needs for new programs and projects, offering guidance on the most effective financial strategies to deliver services and ensure optimal business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the Finance team to ensure a unified approach to financial management across the organisation, providing updated reports, resolving financial issues, and managing payments and grants.
  • Deliver reliable accounting services, including financial analysis, modelling, and reporting to support performance agreements and other organisational goals.

INCLUDED IN WHAT YOU NEED:

  • NSW Government experience.
  • Experience in a similar position.
  • Proven experience in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and relevant legislation.
  • Expertise in procurement, contract, and project management methodologies.
  • Tertiary qualification in accounting or finance, with membership in a professional accounting body (e.g., CPA, CA).
  • Ability to provide strategic financial advice to non-financial managers.
  • Experience managing financial teams and collaborating across departments.
  • Familiarity with managing large budgets in a complex environment.

MUST HAVE clear police check, Australian Permanent Residency or citizenship and reside in NSW.
