What will you be doing?
Reporting into the Geotechnical Manager you will work alongside engineers and scientists to set-out geotechnical and environmental investigations.
You will be locating underground services for borehole drilling and test pit excavations.

  • Locating underground utilities prior to field work activities using electromagnetic and ground penetrating radar equipment.
  • Collection of coordinates and levels using differential global positioning system equipment.
  • Survey levelling using optical and laser levels.
  • Assisting field staff with testing on job sites.
  • Coordination of subcontractors engaged to undertake underground utilities location including vacuum extraction.
  • Work under strict WHS requirements.

 
What do you need?

  • Valid Australian Driver's Licence.
  • Before-You-Dig Australia accreditation.
  • Telstra and Optus accreditation.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as an accredited underground utilities locator.
  • Experience using differential global positioning system and survey levelling equipment..
  • An ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment.
  • Have excellent attention to detail
