We currently are seeking a Project Accounts Lead to join our site-based team located in Gladstone, Central Queensland.

The Project Accounts Lead will collaborate closely with the Finance Lead to provide essential financial support & analysis, ensuring accurate monthly reporting and optimising contract outcomes for the APLNG project.

 

About the role:

·       Lead and mentor the team, setting them up for success, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence

·       Provide expert financial advice to operation leaders, that influence decisions for improving the commercial outcomes

·       Maintain effective communication across departments, ensuring alignment on financial objectives and practices

·       Ensure relevant costs are taken to account processing monthly billing and passed through to the client as per contract execution

  • Review and advise on forecast and actual financial reports
  • Assist with end of month processes and financial reporting within required deadlines and to required levels of accuracy for the contract
  • Maintain the data integrity of the contract financial data in SAP
  • Strong commitment to developing and maintaining a safe working environment
  • Ability to prioritise, plan, organise and complete work within established deadlines
  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with people at all levels in an informative and positive manner

About you:

  • Bachelor degree in commerce or accounting and min 3-5 years’ experience in broad financial roles;
  • Previous experience working on heavy industrial site preferred
  • Previous experience utilising SAP (desirable)
