The Role

Applications are invited from qualified classroom teachers for a specialist role teaching French at our Caulfield Campus. Reporting to the Learning Area Leader of Languages, this will be an exciting opportunity for any prospective applicant to join our dynamic Language team, building a rich language curriculum for students at Caulfield Grammar School.     

This is a 12 month fixed term, 0.4 FTE position commencing Term 1 2025. The successful applicant will demonstrate a passion for engaging and challenging students and for utilising learning technologies.

Key Duties

  • Review and assess students at the beginning of each program to provide a flexible program that caters for individual students.   
  • Deliver learning programs that demonstrate a research-based knowledge of how students learn
  • Evaluate personal teaching and learning programs including feedback from students and assessment data to inform planning
  • Model high expectations to enable a safe and supportive classroom culture
  • Provide reports within school standards and timelines
  • Actively participate in professional development activities
  • Embrace a culture of collaboration to enhance student learning
  • Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours.  

Skills and Experience

  • Hold a current VIT registration and relevant teaching qualifications
  • Ability to teach the MYP will be highly regarded
  • Experience teaching French in an educational environment 
  • Ability to connect positively with students and show genuine care for their learning   
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development
