About the Role

Joining our team at Wangaratta Private Hospital, you will be responsible for a fresh, creative menu for patients, staff, and functions. In this role you will ensure a high standard of quality hospital food production, and cleanliness is maintained in line with the Food Safety Plan, relevant Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points (HACCP) standards and Hospital policy.

Your availability to work across a 7-day roster is essential, with no night shifts, minimal after hours and occasional weekend work.

About You

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following;

  • Certificate in Commercial Cooking
  • Cook qualifications may be considered
  • Minimum 12 months experience as a Chef
  • Ability to cater to a wide variety of sensitive dietary requirements
  • Must have a thorough understanding of allergy management practices
  • Excellent work ethic, customer service skills, time management skills and the ability both independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a multicultural and diverse workplace
  • Previous healthcare setting experience will be highly regarded.
