About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on the iconic Swan River Crossings project in Fremantle, Western Australia. This role will assist with procurement, contract administration of packages and be responsible for optimising margin whilst protecting the company from commercial risks.
About the Project
The Swan River Crossings Project is one of Main Roads’ WA’s most complex and challenging projects, involving road, port, freight, river, walking, cycling, heritage and environmental considerations.
The Project will replace the ageing Fremantle Traffic Bridge with Australia’s first extradosed bridge, incorporating both cantilevers and cable support, that will create a striking gateway to Fremantle.
The Fremantle Bridges Alliance is a consortium with Arup, WSP and Laing O’Rourke that will design and deliver the project in partnership with Main Roads WA.
The project will:
Replace the existing Fremantle Traffic Bridge. Provide safe and modern standard pedestrian and cycling infrastructure over the Swan River. Increase marine safety and navigational clearances for river users. Acknowledge both European and Aboriginal heritage of the area through designKey responsibilities
Delivering the commercial requirements of the project Ensuring accurate and timely weekly and monthly reporting and forecasting of project costs Maintaining registers and productivity on the project whilst at all times adhering to Laing O'Rourke's safety policies & proceduresAbout you
You will hold a degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction management, law or equivalent coupled with extensive post-graduate experience in a similar role, having worked for construction contracting companies. Already obtained or be working towards MRICS. You will also possess comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices of contract management, program financial management, risk and opportunity management, performance reporting, budget preparation and administration.Benefits
