About Monash Doctors

About the Role
During this rotation, you will gain experience encompassing the breadth of pain medicine, which includes chronic non-cancer pain, acute pain, cancer pain, palliative care, and addiction medicine. The role includes participation in the multi-disciplinary Kingston Centre Pain Management Clinic, Acute Pain Services at Monash Health Acute sites, inpatient consults at Kingston Centre, interventional pain procedures and the endometriosis Chronic Pain Clinic. You will also be exposed to the interaction of pain medicine with other specialties, such as geriatric medicine (frailty, social isolation, and depression), addiction medicine, psychiatry, psychology, and others. This role is accredited for 6 months of practice development training towards a Fellowship in Pain Medicine.
About You
This position is suitable for training towards Pain Medicine specialization as well as gaining experience in Pain Medicine for those in other specialities or training programs such as geriatrics, rheumatology, rehabilitation medicine etc.
What you need:
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Appropriate health professional tertiary qualifications
- Working with Children's Certificate
