Here at Concentis we are partnering with a global mining client to source a Brisbane-based Electrical Project Manager, responsible for developing and executing a portfolio of sustaining capital projects in a mining context.
  
As a Project Lead, you will cover requirements from the pre-feasibility stage through to execution on a range of diverse electrical LV and HV projects. Managing the project's budget, schedule, resources, plan activities and create and manage project documentation. This is a hands-on asset owner role, where you’ll utilise your technical background and strong project management skills to make a real impact on production and projects.

This role is a Monday-Friday Brisbane-based opportunity, with plenty of WFH flexibility. You will be required to head to site roughly once every one to two months traveling within QLD with all expenses covered, - with projects demands this may increase. This is an initial 12-month rolling contract, with projects expected to go through pre-feas to execution over the next 2-3 years, making this a serious long-term opportunity.
   
Accountabilities:

  • Oversee and manage electrical LV and HV projects from pre-feasibility stage to execution in a mining environment.
  • Formulate detailed budgets for each project, ensuring resources and finances are effectively allocated and tracked.
  • Oversee the creation and management of project documentation, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to company standards.
  • Ensure all projects deliver on the technical scope as outlined, and that all associated documentation meets the highest standards of clarity and accuracy.
  • Maintain open and proactive communication with both internal and external stakeholders to achieve project outcomes.
  • Lead safety briefings and Ensure compliance across all electrical projects and all projects adhere to industry safety standards

About You:

  • Degree qualifications in electrical engineering, RPEQ would also be well regarded.
  • 5-15 years of relevant experience 
  • Deep knowledge of LV/HV electrical equipment, substations and power stations.
  • Experience in mining or heavy industry
  • Strong Project Management background, with the ability to work through scoping stages, execution, stakeholder engagement, etc.
  • Ability to connect with both internal and external partners to ensure project objectives are achieved.
