Parts Interpreter – KENWORTH & DAF Trucks

If you are a Parts Interpreter (Automotive, Truck & Trailer, Ag machinery) with a minimum 2 years’ experience with hard parts, with business booming, CJD Trucks Forrestfield is looking for you to join our team

We offer all the tools required to get you up to speed with our KENWORTH, DAF TRUCK and TRP products.  With on-the-job training, you learn something new every day (this job is more than just spark plugs and oil filters). A day on the job will see you:

  • Assisting fleet major customers, owner drivers (phone, email and face-to-face) and our workshop maintenance team to identify the parts they need. This is done by using the various platforms we have available, to get the right parts for the job (ECat (Kenworth), RMI (DAF), Cumpas (Cummins) and many more).
  • Keeping in contact with our customers as to the status of their ordered parts, so we exceed their customer service expectations.
  • Prepare, pick orders, process invoices, and all of the other paperwork that goes with a smooth-running operation.
  • Getting involved in stock takes and stock rotation, when your manager asks you for a hand.

Your application will go to the top of our shortlist you have:

  • Experience working in stores, warehousing, or workshops, within the heavy industries sector.  You might be a Store Person, ‘Tradie’ or trade assistant who is ready for a change of scenery.
  • Basic computing skills, with good written and verbal communication are a must.
  • “Truck Loads” of drive, energy, and autonomy, with a can-do attitude who can work under the pump.  You go the distance to deliver excellence to internal and external customers.
  • Must have a minimum valid ‘C’ Class Licence.
  • A forklift licence would be advantageous, however not a deal breaker
  • You can pass a medical and drug & alcohol test.  Also, you will need to complete a Police Clearance check.
