They are looking for Boilermakers to join their Ipswich Workshop and site-based roles available.

$ 39.85- $41.05hr

Full Time position, 38hrs a week minimum,

All overtime is paid at 200% -

You will work with their close-knit team of skilled services employees, Supervisors, and Coordinators that promote a strong safety culture, and are willing to go the extra mile for each other and the Company.

• Both day/afternoon shift available. ( Day shift 6am-2:30pm and afternoon shift 2pm-10pm)

Your duties:

• • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
  • Fabrication of components for dump truck trays
  • Welding of components
  • Final assembly of dump truck trays including final weld out and cleaning.
  • Crack testing and repair on excavator arms
  • Cut, weld, and braze metal parts using welding and flame-cutting equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.
  • Use hand and power tools to make precision cuts, measurements, and adjustments.

Job requirements:

• Certificate of Proficiency - Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication
• Experience with Flux Core welding
• Standard AS1554 
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and machinery.
• Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be physically fit and able to work in various environments (e.g. heights, confined spaces).

• MUST be able to pass a weld test which is a double V joint on 16mm plate,
  Using either 3xp or 81 NI 1.6mm Flux cored Mig wire, on first side a vertical weld then back gouge and complete with a horizontal weld this weld coupon will have to pass visual then if we accept the visual we will also have it MPId and UT inspected to ISO9606 Standard.
