Baringa Private Hospital in beautiful Coffs Harbour on the Mid North Coast is seeking Clinical Nurse Specialists to join our team. This position can be a Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part time, or hours to be negotiated, which can allow for a good work life balance.

About the Role

Our Theatre Department comprises 5 operating theatres that are ideal for both major and minor surgery. This includes a Cath Lab where we perform interventional cardiology including diagnostic and interventional cardiology, pacemakers and other implantable devices, orthopaedics, endovascular & general surgery.

In this role you will work within our busy Perioperative team caring for patients within the operating room.

About You

You will bring exceptional communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The flexibility to complete 10-hour shifts and a rotating Monday to Friday roster will also be key for this role.

Your Essential Skills and Experience

  • Registration with AHPRA as appropriate
  • Minimum 5 years in the relevant area (Theatre - General Surgery or Orthopaedic Surgery)
  • Understanding of scope of practice in line with relevant registration
  • Ability to ensure excellence in customer service
  • Ability to assess, plan, co-ordinate and evaluate care delivery needs of patients
  • Knowledge of legislative requirements in relation to nursing practice
  • Knowledge of Quality/Continuous Improvement processes

Desirable

  • Experience as a resource and mentor to others in the relation to clinical practice
  • Post Graduate Perioperative Nursing Certificate

Remuneration

$50.29 + superannuation, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (NSW Clinical Nurse/Midwifery Specialist)[FTE $99 373.04]
