Select Builders are seeking a Civil Engineering Draftsperson to join our busy team in designing and planning future projects in the Melbourne region.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Use CAD software to create drawings that incorporate exact measurements, calculations, building codes, and other construction details.

• Draft plans and detailed drawings for structures, installations, and construction projects working from sketches or notes.

• Print CAD drawing schematics for use by construction managers, and structural and maintenance engineers.

• Prepare drawings, charts, and records with CAD equipment and conventional drafting techniques.

• Correlate, interpret, and modify data obtained from topographical surveys, well logs, and geophysical prospecting reports.

• Review rough sketches, drawings, specifications, and other engineering data received from civil engineers to ensure that they conform to design concepts.

• Supervise or conduct field surveys, inspections, or technical investigations to obtain data required to revise construction drawings.

• Explain drawings to production or construction teams and provide adjustments as necessary.

• Collaborate with architects and construction engineers to ensure adherence to building specifications and industry regulations.
