The role:

We have a position for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper (qualification preferred) to service a broad range of clients within the outsourced finance division and assistance with workflow management for the wider client group.

Tasks included, but not limited to:

  • Obtain monthly bank statements, review, allocate/classify and process revenue invoices, operational expenditure and allocate capital expenditure in conjunction with transaction documents
  • Initiate review of payments via internet banking platform, both domestic and international, from multiple currency accounts
  • Complete monthly reporting in relation to payables/receivables
  • Extract relevant bank transaction listings and/or update the general ledger based on bank transaction interfacing and reporting requirements
  • Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations
  • Draft and post required journal entries based on information provided
  • Respond to stakeholder queries surrounding the treatment of monthly transactions as required

Successful candidates will have experience in:

  • Funds experience preferred
  • BAS, IAS, payroll and superannuation experience
  • Experience using Xero, or similar accounting systems
  • Advanced Excel knowledge
  • Excellent time management and written skills
  • Preparation of monthly reporting pack and various ad-hoc reports, analysis with commentary.
  • Management of stakeholder relationships – ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  • Coaching and mentoring skills
  • Leadership experience to support junior members of the team
