POSITION

We have a full-time position for a Farm Supervisor available in Coorumba QLD 4860.

SKILLS

You are required to have at least a Certificate IV or higher qualification and at least 1-year relevant job experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your role as Farm Supervisor is to supervise farm operations in the cultivation of bananas at different stages of plant growth.

REPORTS TO

You will be required to report to the Farm Managers.

POSITION DUTIES

You will need to undertake the following duties:

• Consult with farm managers to prioritise tasks.
• Supervise a wide range of farm operations as de-budding, de-leafing, de-suckering, dieseling and harvesting bananas.
• Ensure staff have the required tools and equipment for scheduled work.
• Delegate tasks to farms and ensure tasks are completed correctly.
• Train new staff as to duties for each relevant section.
• Ensure farms hands complete required work to meet deadlines and productivity.
• Inspect banana irrigation infrastructure, schedule watering and sprinkler maintenance.
• Inspect farming equipment, ensure routine maintenance is carried out and repairs are made when necessary.
• Ensure and enforce compliance with government regulations and health and safety standards.
• Additional duties may be required from time to time as required by the business.

SALARY

The position offers an annual salary of $ 60,000 to $70,000 per annum based on your experience.
