Roles and responsibilities:

As an Azure Maps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in implementing and maintaining Azure Maps and Bing Maps solutions for our clients. Its a pivotal role in ensuring accurate geospatial data integration across various projects, leveraging your expertise in Microsoft Azure technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain Azure Maps and Bing Maps to ensure accurate and accessible geospatial data for diverse applications.
  • Integrate Azure Maps and Bing Maps with enterprise systems and data sources to optimize operational workflows and enhance decision-making processes.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality geospatial visualizations to support various projects and initiatives, leveraging Azure Maps capabilities.
  • Work closely with development teams, providing expertise in Azure Maps integration and helping them effectively utilize geospatial data and visualizations.
  • Establish and enforce data quality standards and governance for geospatial information, ensuring reliability and usability across platforms.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Azure Maps implementations, ensuring smooth operation and performance optimization.
  • Stay updated with Azure Maps advancements and industry trends, recommending and implementing innovative solutions to enhance capabilities.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Proven experience as an Azure Maps Engineer or similar role, with expertise in deploying and managing Azure Maps and Bing Maps.
  • Hands-on experience in integrating geospatial solutions with enterprise systems and data sources.
  • Strong proficiency in geospatial visualization tools and techniques, utilizing Azure Maps for creating impactful visualizations.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Understanding of data governance and quality management principles, with the ability to ensure data integrity and reliability.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Geospatial Sciences, or related field; relevant certifications in Azure or GIS technologies are a plus.
