The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a psychologist looking to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment to support Defence capabilities. Our Navy Psychologists are operationally and organizationally focused- working on Navy establishments to support Navy members. We work as part of a broader team of professionals to enhance capabilities and work with command teams for best practice service provision.

HMAS Coonawarra is vital for Navy’s capability to protect national security and is involved in fast paced operations. As such, we are engaged in a varied role involving mental health training packages, resilience training, optimizing performance and enhancing capability of members during operations. Our team works closely with Command and other services to provide advice, support, operational mental health screening, critical incident response and organizational intervention. There is also scope to engage in brief clinical intervention when required. 

About our Team
The Navy Psychology Coonawarra team provides the full scope of Navy Psychology Services to Fleet Units and the Garrison Shore Establishments at HMAS Coonawarra in the beautiful Northern Territory. The team works together to achieve a high standard of psychology service provision, liaising regularly with command elements, health providers and other wellbeing stakeholders.
