ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently seeking an Senior Electrical Engineer join our team based in Perth. Reporting to the Electrical Project Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing electrical take-offs, ordering materials, and requesting prices.
  • Providing expert electrical engineering advice.
  • Developing work packs and ensuring their completion.
  • Offering quality support throughout project execution.
  • Reviewing redlines and ensuring compliance with project specifications.
  • Conducting site inspections to monitor progress and quality.
  • Coordinating cable schedules to meet project requirements.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of electrical deliverables.

Your duties will also include:

  • Complete detailed methodologies and tender schedules.
  • Interpret drawings and review scopes of work to ensure it is reflected in pricing and project execution.
  • Evaluate pricing, quotes, and estimates from subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Prepare and maintain tender pricing & documentation deliverables.
  • Review and advise on commercial, contracts and scope departures.
  • Provide engineering technical support for project teams.
  • Develop project deliverables for site execution including workpacks, QAQC documentation, execution methodologies and schedules.
  • Coordinating procurement of materials relevant to the scope in line with set budgets.
  • Requesting quotes from and managing sub-contractors relevant to the project.
  • Maintain, track and report on tender progress and performance.
  • Liaise closely with clients, Warrikal management and all other project staff.
  • Ensure compliance with client QAQC requirements, as well as Company policies, plans and procedures.
  • Prepare Microsoft Project schedules and work to tight deadlines and budgets.
  • Attend regular tender meetings on site to review scope as required.

ABOUT YOU

  • Minimum tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 4+ years’ experience with civil project in the mining sector as an Engineer.
  • Must have experience from tendering through to project execution.
  • Autonomous worker who can adapt and work flexibly with business requirements.
  • Willingness to travel on an ad hoc basis and be eligible to access client sites.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal employees.
  • Proficient in the full MS Office Suite and MS Projects.
