The Company:

An esteemed ASX-listed insurance company, boasting a sizable legal team, seeks an insurance lawyer in a permanent role. Candidates should have a mix of Chapter 7 experience with a background in claims & litigation within general insurance. Statutory insurance experience would be highly desirable. Enjoy a hybrid working arrangement (2 days a week in-office policy), a cohesive culture, and exceptional company benefits. The role is based in the CBD.

Role Overview:

The company is seeking a Lawyer to spearhead legal excellence within the Operational & Claims Strategy team. The primary objective is to deliver high-quality legal support, foster strong stakeholder relationships, and contribute to a legal environment focused on customer needs. Expertise in Chapter 7 of the Corporate Act is indispensable for this role.

Candidate Requirements:

* Minimum 3-4 years PQE in legal practice.

* Proficiency in insurance law, litigation, claims, and regulatory frameworks within a general insurance context.

* Statutory insurance experience highly desirable.

* Strong legal acumen, skilled in negotiation and relationship-building.

* Bachelor of Laws or equivalent qualification is essential.

* Ability to autonomously manage multiple priorities in a dynamic setting.
