The role of the Content & Partnerships department is to bring creativity to media, to drive the cultural pulse of the agency and think about ideas in the next era of media. We also act as the interface between Wavemaker and our partners (be that media integration arms, production companies, influencer agencies, social platforms, activation agencies, talent agents, sports & entertainment as well as GroupM and WPP). We ensure client campaigns are executed and amplified in an effective, creative and future facing, Wavemaker way.  
This is a newly created role due to team growth.

Duties  

  • Drive big ideas that will grow clients business’ and help us win clients 
  • Lead and review the creative work for the agency especially in social, content and digital media and marketing 
  • Drive creative work and awards (especially in the social space) 
  • Ability to capture creative thinking that is ready to take to clients – Document and presentation writing; storytelling; concepting; assisting in STB/mock up’s 
  • Be at the forefront of technology knowing the nuisances of social , video and entertainment media platforms, CX and UX insights, formats and creative impact 
  • Support the Chief Content & Partnerships Officer in developing Wavemaker’s social product bringing together paid, owned and earned media 
  • Spearhead and manage content strategy for both small and large projects, harnessing content design, copy, art, and digital technology 
  • Collaborate well with diversified skillsets - Content & Partnerships, Strategy, Product, Client and Growth departments etc. to create creative strategies and content ideas 
  • Analyse ongoing cultural and social trends, not being afraid to utilise tools (proprietary & platform – TikTok, Meta...) as required 
  • Take a leadership role in bringing culture and trends to our clients (Content & Partnerships are the cultural pulse of the agency – How do we bring local and global insights into the agency to drive better work) 

Skills & Experience  

  • At least 7 years of relevant experience, with five or more years in creative, content marketing and/or social 
  • Experience in creating social/content marketing and advertising campaigns — from developing the vision and messaging platform to overseeing production on time and within budget 
  • Experience and understanding in creating integrated social and content campaigns across all touchpoints: digital + social media, paid, owned, earned and shared media channels as well as offline 
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing creative led campaigns that drive engagement, brand awareness, and business growth 
  • Proven ability to develop successful concepts and ideas (a robust portfolio) 
  • Strong creative vision, with an eye on business objectives 
  • Social and Digital Native; Influential - You may be a content creator already 
  • Strong understanding of social and broader media landscape, including emerging trends, platforms and best practises 
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate creative ideas clearly and persuasively  
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to think strategically, solve problems and drive continuous improvement within the team and across the organisation
