About the Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Women's Outpatients Department as an Associate Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager, where you will be responsible for:
- Provide expert nursing/midwifery care to women and their babies in the Women's Outpatient Department.
- Support Shared Maternity Care program, working closely with Shared Maternity Care Affiliates (SMCA) and General Practitioners (GPs) to ensure smooth program management.
- Ensure timely and effective communication with SMCA regarding patient results, suitability for Shared Care, and any updates on care needs.
- Exhibit strong leadership, management, communication and clinical skills in a multidisciplinary, culturally competent setting.
- Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, ensure ongoing service evaluation and improvement, and encourage active stakeholder involvement.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse and or Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
- Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years post registration experience or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife.
- Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing/midwifery practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
- Effective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet set timelines, whilst working under minimal supervision
