The Role Mount Isa Mines are currently advertising an internal opportunity that exists for the role of Blast Furnace Shift Supervisor. Reporting to the Superintendent – Blast Furnace Operations, you will manage and support he operations team to focus on the continual improvement initiatives regarding safety and production. This position is offered on a residential basis and you will be required to work in accordance with 4/4 continuous roster.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Lead, Motivate and mentor the crew
- Achieve business objective in a safe and cost-effective manner
- Ensuring the crew maximises plant capacity
- Develop and drive continuous improvement initiatives
The successful candidate will possess:
- Self-motivated and flexible with a high standard of work
- Experience in a supervisory capacity is necessary
- A pro-active approach to safety and continuous improvement
- Sound Communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively and lead a team
- Hold QSECC explosives security clearance
