About the Role
Nurses are at the heart of our team, and we would not be able to do what we do without our amazing nurses. The team is now ready to accept applications for Hospital Care Nurses to join our brand new facility, working closely with our experience team of specialists and emergency vets. This team is offering full-time, permanent positions, with part-time considered for the right person. Our Hospital Care team operates 24 hours, 7 days and so availability to work a variety of shifts is required. This team will work broadly across the hospital and provides nurses the opportunity to rotate through our Medicine, Surgery and Emergency departments.

About You
We are looking for passionate Hospital Care Nurses who can work independently, with a reliable, adaptable and proactive approach to your work. We are looking for team members with the following skills:
- A keen interest in referral medicine and a desire to work closely with our patients throughout their entire SASH journey.
- A passion for nursing patients on the wards, while also rotating through our departments allowing you to continue building on your nursing skills.
- An ability to manage and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in anaesthesia would be highly regarded.
- Confidence working in an extremely busy environment.
To be considered for this position, applicants must have:
- Completed a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.
- A minimum of 2 years, full-time experience as a qualified nurse.
- Previous experience in a referral or emergency hospital would be highly regarded but is not essential.
