We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer with expertise in Microsoft Azure to work for one of our international consultancy clients. This role offers an exciting opportunity to design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud architectures that support business operations and growth.

Job Description:
As a Cloud Engineer – Azure, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing highly available and secure cloud architectures on the Azure platform.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement and monitor cloud solutions that meet business and client requirements. You will also play a critical role in automating processes, optimizing costs, and ensuring the highest levels of performance and security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and manage scalable Azure cloud architectures, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
  • Administer Azure Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) services, including App Services, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Azure SQL.
  • Implement Azure security best practices, such as access controls, encryption, and Azure Policy.
  • Optimize Azure resources to maintain cost efficiency while ensuring seamless performance.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform and Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.
  • Manage infrastructure deployments through source control and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth and reliable updates.
  • Administer and support VMware Cloud Foundation environments, including managing virtual machines and storage.
  • Troubleshoot, resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, and ensure system stability.
  • Create and manage user accounts, implementing appropriate access controls and security measures.
  • Optimize Linux systems (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS) for performance and security, including kernel parameter tuning and resource management.
  • Respond promptly to incidents and service requests, providing timely resolutions or escalating issues to senior resources.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of issues, resolutions, and system configurations in ticketing systems.
  • Use monitoring tools to track and analyze system performance, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.
  • Develop scripts (Bash, Python) to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless service delivery, knowledge sharing, and service improvements.

Qualifications:

  • NV1 or NV2 Cleared
  • Proven experience with Azure cloud services, including App Services, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Azure SQL, and more.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security practices and Azure Policy implementation.
  • Expertise with tools like Terraform and ARM templates.
  • Experience with VMware Cloud Foundation and virtualization technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux systems (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools.
  • Proficient in scripting languages like Bash and Python for automation tasks.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve infrastructure issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities.
